Tried and true project...a crowd pleaser in all directions.
3 year olds though 1st grade really enjoyed this project. Four classes: fist class:read book and paint leaf. Went big on the paper....used cheap and big paper. Next class drew leaf lines on top of painted leaves and cut them out. Next class made caterpillars out of colored modeling clay. Next class punched holes in paper:used a variety of hole punches...this was absolutely the kids favorite part of the project. Next class glued the caterpillar onto the leaf and had the kids sign the art work on the front.
